Production, prototype, and one-of-a-kind gray and ductile iron castings for engineering and architectural applications.
Two molding systems, induction melting, and a full service pattern shop make OK Foundry Company a flexible gray and ductile iron foundry. Flexible casting means more options from one iron foundry.
Flexible casting means shorter leadtimes for small runs!
Your options with OK Foundry include:
A urethane hardened sand system at OK Foundry makes casting heavy gray or ductile iron castings possible. No bake molds are unsurpassed for dimensional stability and ease of manufacturing.
No-bake molding for gray and ductile iron castings up to 700 lbs.
No bake molding doesn't require compressive forces to set the sand so pattern construction costs are minimized. Most of our no bake patterns are made in house from wood, but almost any foundry pattern can be adapted for no bake molding.
Our no bake process makes casting prototype, repair, or obsolete parts economicaly feasible. And when you need production quantities of heavy castings, our no bake molding line is the key to sound gray and ductile iron castings.
Experienced molders and traditional jolt squeeze molding of green sand allow quick setups of lighter castings. Unlike automatic molding equipment, our jolt squeeze molders can setup any flask size in minutes. With multiple impression patterns and our high capacity pouring rack, 1000's of small castings are just a days production run.
Manual squeezer molding for quick delivery of small castings.
Flexibility is again the key, and whether you need just a handful of castings or regular shipments of 1000's, our jolt squeeze molding line is the flexible solution.
With a flexible foundry you can purchase smaller volumes more frequently. Less money is tied up in castings, quality problems are corrected sooner, and design changes implemented faster.
OK Foundry's molding lines and small batch furnaces allow for quick setup and smaller batch sizes. We need as little as 1,500 lbs. of casting demand to batch a furnace heat for gray or ductile iron. This means shorter lead times for small orders.
The global economy has created opportunities for domestic manufacturers like never before. Low cost producers offshore have saturated the commodity casting market and are now looking for niche markets to improve margins.
Flexible casting for contingency support of imported casting supply chains.
Having a domestic foundry in your corner can reduce the risk of an off shore casting supply. Whether you need pattern mastering, backup tooling, contingency supply, or assistance with purchasing off shore castings, OK Foundry can help.
