Ornamental Iron for Fence Restoration and Expansion

St. Paul's Episcopal Church needed to repair portions of the cast iron fence surrounding the church grounds and wanted to add gates to the inner courtyard using exact replicas of the ornamental iron in the original fence. OK Foundry made patterns from the original ironwork and cast ornamental iron for the fabricator, Custom Ornamental Iron, who replaced the damaged fence sections and built new gates for the inner courtyard.

St. Paul's Church was built in 1845 and has a rich history. Such Richmond notables as Jefferson Davis, Robert E. Lee, and Edgar Allen Poe have worshipped there and it is even told that Jefferson Davis was at St. Paul's when informed that union troops were advancing on Richmond. Since St. Paul's is an important Richmond landmark, the reproduction ironwork needed to be rendered with the most accurate details.
