Flexible Molding for Large or Small Castings

With our no-bake molding process, OK Foundry can economicaly produce gray and ductile iron castings up to 700 lbs.

No-bake molding is the key to casting large machine parts up to 700 lbs.

A modern no-bake molding line is the ultimate in flexible casting. Our no-bake molding line can produce prototype or production quantities of castings from 25 to 700 lbs.

Leadtimes are short since no-bake molding has the shortest setup time of any molding technology available today. At OK Foundry we often run several jobs at a time, round robin, through the bonded sand mixing line. Inserting 1, or 100 molds to the daily mix is a snap.

Quick changeover and small batches are possible with manual jolt squeeze molding.

Our jolt squeeze molding line is perfect for orders of 50 to 1,000 castings from 1 to 25 lbs. By molding small parts in green sand on manual jolt squeeze molders small orders are easy to insert into the pouring schedule on short notice. Our high capacity pouring rack keeps larger orders on track.

Low Cost Tooling

In the hands of a master foundry pattern maker, wood is still the least expensive pattern material available. Unless your part has very intricate passageways or detailing, a wood pattern can be much less expensive than rapid prototyping techniques.

Traditional wood patters are still the most economical method for making foundry patterns.

A wood pattern is also the best material for new castings since it is easy to modify as machine designs change. While inexpensive to modify, wood is very durable when used for a foundry pattern and 1000's of castings can be made without repair. When volumes increase, OK Foundry can have your pattern made in pressure cast aluminum for unlimited life or automatic molding equipment.
